New Inn, Fotheringhay, Northamptonshire

The Queen of Scots Archway at Fotheringhay. The building shown is the 'New Inn', now 'Garden Farm', built in 1460s to provide accomodation for visitors to the Castle. Mary Queen of Scots was a prisoner at the Castle prior to being beheaded. Negative not held by NMR. Note in daybook may indicate the negative held by G A W and a further note gives an address - 30 St Peters Street, Stamford.
