Mesolithic Camp

This reconstruction drawing shows what a Mesolithic (Middle Stone Age) camp might have looked like. It would have left very little evidence for archaeologists to find, possibly just a few 'stake-holes' where tent poles went into the ground and scatters of worked flint. During the Mesolithic people lived a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, moving around to make the most of seasonal foods.
