Ledbury Viaduct, Ledbury, Herefordshire

This viaduct was built in 1859-60. It was probably designed by Stephen Ballard; the contractors were Ballard and Thomas Brarrey. The bricks were made by Robert Ballard on site from the clay dug out for the foundations. It was built for the Worcester and Hereford Railway Company, later part of the Great Western Company.
