Frank Coopers Marmalade Works, Victoria Buildings, Oxford, Oxfordshire
In 1874 Frank's wife Sarah made far more marmalade than was needed by the family so Frank put the surplus into earthenware jars and sold it in his shop. It became popular and as demand grew and legislation changed it could no longer be made in the back of the shop. This is the interior of the new buildings where the company continued production, showing the packers at work.
