Cotshill Hospital, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire

This hospital was originally built as a workhouse. It was built in 1835-6 as the Chipping Norton Workhouse. The Chipping Norton Poor Law Union was formed on 18th September 1835. The workhouse was designed to accommodate up to 350 people. For this the Poor Law Commissioners authorised an expenditure of £6,153.
