City Wall between Morgans Mount and Northgate, Chester, Cheshire

The former City Wall was built in the early 2nd century. It was refortified as part of a Norman City Wall in the late 11th to early 12th century. In 1702-08 it was converted to a raised promenade and was also repaired.
