Charles Darwin's sons with their Uncle Erasmus (Charles' brother) in 1870. From the left Frank (Francis) (1848-1925), Leonard (1850-1948), Erasmus (1804-1881), Horace (1851-1928) and William (1839-1914). Frank and Horace went on to become scientists and members of the Royal Society, like their father; Leonard became a Major in the army and William became a banker.
