Cabot House, Muller Homes, Ashley Down Road, Bristol

Cabot House was the last of five large barrack-like orphanage buildings built between 1847 and 1870. They were built by George Muller. He was a church minister and philanthropist born in Prussia. The orphanage was built and run entirely from voluntary donations. In 1958 the buildings became Bristol College of Science and Technology. This later changed to City of Bristol College, Brunel Campus. Part has now been converted to housing.
