Billingsgate Fish Market, Lower Thames Street, City of London
Billingsgate Fish Market was purpose built in 1875. It is built in a French renaissance style of architecture. Trading here stopped in 1982 and the building was converted for office use. The building is on the bank of the River Thames with its own floating wharf. Here market porters await the delivery to be unloaded.
