Bridge and watering place for cattle. Early C19. Uncoursed red sandstone rubble with thin coping. Bridge. Segmental arch without keystones. To south is a semicircular enclosure with walls about 1m high. West branch of Weir Brook enters enclosure under bridge and exits at southern end through segmental arch-way infilled above stream with a wooden open. picket grille; entry to watering place at east and west ends of road parapet wall. Circa 8cm diameter semi-circular depressions in parapet of south wall are said to have been caused by the friction of wire-bound hose pipes when steam engines were topped up with water at this point.
