TQ3284NW DOUGLAS ROAD 635-1/57/363 (West side) 24/05/89 Approx 60m of railings to north-east of junction with Willow Bridge

GV II

Railings. 1820s for New River Company. Cast and wrought iron. Straight-shaft railings with urn finials, every eleventh shaft coupled with another set back, with mid-rail, on cast-iron and brick plinths; breached by an inserted gate. Associated with the realignment of the New River and the rebuilding of Canonbury Road Bridge in 1823.
