STODY STODY ROAD TG 03 NE 2/104 Vale House 20.2.52 II House, c1600. Flint, variously coursed, knapped and galletted and with brick headers. Brick dressings, pantiles. 3 cell cross passage plan. 2 storeys and attic. 2 storey gabled porch off-centre to left in coursed and galletted flint and brick mosaic over brick capped flint plinth. Elliptical headed arch in treble chamfered brick under square headed relieving arch. Massive wooden jambs to 4-centred doorway. Ledged battened and nailed 4-centred door with central rail. 3-light casement windows repositioned; some with leaded panes and pintle hinges, some late C20 aluminium framed doubled glazed windows. No shafts to end internal stacks. Small central stack rebuilt.

Continuous rear outshut, raised late C20 in brick to form pent house of no special interest. Interior: large internal stacks to each gable end, that to right having circular space for former stair to front. Fireplace between central bhy and cross passage. Roof of staggered purlins and collars.
