ALFORD CP ST63SW ALFORD VILLAGE 1/4 Alford Farmhouse GV II

Detached farmhouse, C17, modified C19. Local lias and Cary stone rubble, with Ham stone dressings; plain clay tiled roof with exposed rafters at eaves level, plain overhung gables; brick and stone chimney stacks. Two storeys; 6 bays, of which bays 5 and 6 are of a different build, with less Cary stone. Ovolo-moulded mullioned windows, unleaded but some with iron framed opening lights, of 3 light bays 1, 3 and 5 and 2-lights elsewhere: to lower bay 2 a boarded door with glazed panel set in open timber and tiled porch. Interior not seen.
