Farmhouse; probably late C18; reddy-brown Flemish-bond brickwork, ashlar plinth, chamfered stone quoins to front, tiled roof. 3 windows wide, 3 storeys front, sloping down to 2 at rear: 2 room deep. Late C20 gabled single-storey porch in centre on brick pillars, replacing earlier porch: 6-panel front door, bottom fielded, main upper glazed, top fielded with oval glass panes set in. 4-pane wide sash windows, with stepped stone voussoirs and projecting keystones. Second floor windows 2-pane high only, sashes in centre late C19 replacement 3 panes wide. Dentil eaves, with brick-on-edge dentils. Gable chimneys within envelope.

Datestone in garden wall, 'J. E. 1787'. Forms group with chapel opposite, (q.v.).
