7/187 Newtown Farmhouse (formerly listed as Newton Farmhouse 730 yds west of Church of St John the Baptist)

Farmhouse (not to be confused with farm of same name to west). Dated 1743, with initials JLM above entrance. Painted rendered brick walls on stone plinth; Welsh slate roof with coped gables and kneelers, rendered chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays, originally 5 bays, with filled windows covered by render. 6-panel top- glazed door has moulded architrave with pulvinated inscribed frieze and moulded cornice. Sash windows with glazing bars have segmental arches and stone sills.

Listing does not include the altered stable extension to rear and outbuildings to right.
