CASTLE COMBE WATERSIDE ST 8477 6/185 Entrance Gates and wall to Manor House
GV II
Entrance gates and wall, c1840-50, ashlar and rubble stone. Tudor style. 2 ashlar octagonal gate piers with moulded caps, original gates removed. To each side rubble stone wall with shallow buttresses and moulded coping swept up to piers and north end pier.
South side wall has coping swept up to Tudor-arched pedestrian gate with hoodmould. Iron gate. Formerly the main drive to the Manor House (q.v.).
