CASTLE COMBE THE STREET ST 8477 (west side) 6/166 Corbett Cottage 20.12.60 (formerly listed as 2 cottages 20yds north of Unicorn Cottage)

GV II House, C16, rubble stone with stone tiled roofs with rebuilt south end stack and ashlar ridge stack. One-and-a-half storeys. 3 sections, each of one window range. Right end, part of 2 window range shared with Combe Cottage (q.v.) has dormer gable with timber leaded casement over fine early C16 2-light chamfered timber mullion window with traceried heads. Recessed centre section has 3-light timber leaded casement to dormer gable and iron opening light over large 2-light leaded timber casement. Left side has large 2-light timber leaded casement with iron opening light over 3-light timber window with centre sash. To right, fine C16 studded oak plank door to through passage.

Interior: centre room has exceptional stone moulded cambered- arched fireplace with coved stone shelf over. 2 heavily moulded beams. Upper south end room has unmoulded Tudor-arched stone fireplace on north wall.
