Row of 3 houses. Mid/late C18. Painted roughcast over cob or rubblestone, slate roof with brick stacks to gable ends, party wall and rear right wing of No.7. Nos 3 and 5 to the left are 2-unit central-entry plan, No.7 is one unit with a rear wing. 3 storeys; 2 and one-window range. C19 and C20 two-light casement windows which diminish in size toward the eaves, small panes to the ground floor and Nos 5 and 7 to the right, C20 doors. The rear of No.7 to the right has a lateral stack. INTERIOR: No.3 is altered but the roof structure of the second floor is 4 bays with trenched purlins. HISTORY: This block is said to have been converted to a workhouse in 1820. (Binding H: Minehead: A New History: Minehead: 1977-: 195).
