GV II
Warehouse. Mid C19. Painted brick with slate roof. Rectangular plan. 3 storeys; 5-window range. Gauged brick segmental arches to C20 two-light casement windows on upper floors. Pilasters with moulded capitals and cornice support a continuous fascia with a moulded cornice which extends round a narrow single-storey extension to the left return. Plate-glass shop windows of 2 panes with moulded glazing bars have doors to far right and left of centre. INTERIOR not inspected. History: in 1865 this was Harwood's Slate and Timber Wharf; the range to the right is now part of No.4 (qv). (Squibbs PJ: Squibbs' History of Bridgwater: Chichester: 1988-: PL 77).
