Description

This information is taken from the statutory List as it was in 2001 and may not be up to date.

SK 80 NW BRAUNSTON HIGH STREET (East side)

1/45 Cheseldyne Farm (Previously listed as Cheseldyne 14.6.54 Farmhouse)

GV II

Farmhouse, newly dated 1604, so presumably originally of that date, but much restored. Coursed ironstone rubble, laid in large blocks to ground floor, and smaller above, suggesting a heightening of the building at some date.

2 storeys. Rear entry street front has 3 bays with 2 and 3-light stone ovolo moulded mullions, with hoodmoulds. Gable end stacks. That to left is old brick, the other, moulded stone.
