EASTHORPE SK7053 1919-0/11/60 (North side) 11/08/61 No.25 Grey Friars and adjoining boundary wall

GV II

House and adjoining boundary wall. c1800, raised and extended early C19. Brick with stone dressings and hipped concrete tile and pantile roofs. Cogged eaves, 3 side wall stacks. 3 storeys; 2 window range, L-plan. Front has 2 tall glazing bar sashes painted to resemble Gothic glazing bars. Each has a rubbed brick head and a D-shaped balcony with iron railing.

Above, 2 small glazing bar sashes. To right, a flat roofed wooden lattice porch covering a mid C19 half-glazed door. To left, a plain sash. 2 storey rear wing with pantile roof.

Outside, attached dwarf brick boundary wall with half-round brick and stone copings and iron railing. 2 wrought iron gates. Square stone pier to left.
