EGGLESTON SOUTH TERRACE NY92SE (North side) 19/31 Nos. L-5 GV II Terrace of houses. Mid C19 for London Lead Company. Coursed sandstone rubble with coarse sandstone quoins and ashlar dressings; roofs of graduated stone flags with stone gable copings. 2 storeys, 5 wide bays. Flat stone lintels over renewed doors at right of second and third bays, the latter with C20 porch, and boarded door with original stone-bracketed gabled hood to No. 4 at right of fourth bay. Original sashes, with glazing bars, flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills, flanking door of No. 4; other windows renewed with C20 glazing in original openings (except for early C20 5-sided bay windows inserted in first bay under curved pent roof and in third bay under hipped pent roof).

6 corniced ridge chimneys, those at left of each house with panelled tapered square yellow pots, that at right end without pots and erected for aesthetic reasons. Included for group value. C20 set-back 2-storey additions at each end not of interest.
