Bank building. 1890's. Grayson and Ould. Stone, on polished red granite base. 4 storeys and attics, 4 bays to Castle Street and 5 bays to Brunswick Street. Corner building, with round angle turret ending in a small dome.

Moulded windows have stone mullions and transoms, being cross window to ground floor and 2nd floor, of 6 lights to 1st floor, except 3rd floor which has colonnettes to separate the lights. Enriched cornice over ground floor.

Superimposed fluted pilasters separate the bays. Dentilled cornice; balustraded parapet, and 3 dormers with segmental pediments to Castle Street. Brunswick Street facade incorporates another sunken turret which, with the angle turret, flanks a large decorated gable.
