HANLEY CASTLE CP B 4209 (south side) SO 84 SW 3/130 Cross Hands Cottage (south of junction 25.3.68 with A 440) GV II

House. C17. Timber-framing with some brick infill and thatched roof.

One storey with attic. Framed in irregular square panels. Four casement windows on ground floor, and two eyebrow dormers. Door to right of left- hand window. Two ceiling beams are tusk-tenoned through the front wall.

Gable chimneys. The right-hand gable wall has a long straight tension brace and a truss with tie-beam, collar, and struts.
