2-storey, 2-window mid Cl9 building of flint rubble with alternating block red brick quoins and jambs; and lacing courses. Rendered walls on North and west sides. Double span with slated roofs of moderately low pitch. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars. Basement windows visible on road front.

Portlands, the Oast house and drying shed with attached walls, the stable buildings, and Portlands Cottage form a group.
