OFFORD CLUNY HIGH STREET TL 2166 (WEST SIDE) 7/13 No. 134 24.10.51 (IVY COTTAGE) GV II

Mid C17 two bay lobby entry house, extended later in C17 by one bay to South and West and the addition of a stair turret to the East. Timber framed, plaster rendered. Plain tiled roof, originally thatched with ridge stack having original soft red brick base with rubbed brick string. Two storeys. Two gables with horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars on either side of gabled stair and entry bay. One blocked casement with transome and mullion and three sash windows with glazing bars to gable end of stair and entry bay. Interior: original closed string staircase with flat section balusters, square newel posts surmounted by faceted terminals. Two inglenook hearths.
