5204 (West Side) St Leonards South Lodge (Comprising East and West Lodges) TQ 7908 NE 10/200 19.1.51. II 2.
Circa 1829 by James Burton. Entrance to St Leonards Gardens, (formerly subscription gardens). One building - 2 lodges with central archway through with giant fluted Doric columns supporting projecting entablature with small pediment. Flanking each side - 2 storeys, pilastered with entablature, 2 small windows on each floor.
Low-pitched slate roof with heavy eaves cornice and pedimented gable ends, the end walls have 2-storeyed bow windows. 2 tall stuccoed chimney stacks.
