GRAND PARADE 1.

5204 St Leonards No 23 (Adelaide House) TQ 8008 NW 11/211 II 2.

Circa 1835. Stuccoed. 4 storeys and modern attic. Cornice above 2nd floor. Cornice and parapet above 3rd floor. Ground, lst and 2nd floor windows in moulded architrave surrounds, 1st floor with cornices over. 5 windows wide, left hand 3 windows in segmental curved bay. Sashes with glazing bars, right hand with side lights.

Iron balcony on 1st floor of bay. Doorway off centre to right of bay with moulded architrave, rectangular fanlight and panelled door. Modern attic set back behind parapet with flat roof. Recently very much restored. Queen Adelaide and Princess Augusta stayed here for the winter of 1837-8.
