MITFORD MITFORD NZ 1685 10/26 Foss Bridge, over the River 6.5.52 Wansbeck (formerly listed as Wansbeck Bridge) G.V. II

Bridge, mid-C18. Tooled-and-margined stone with ashlar voussoirs and parapet.

2 segmental arches with triangular cutwater between. Arch rings, band below parapet. Thin parapet with 3 shallow pilasters on each internal face and gabled coping, terminating in round piers, with banded domed caps, on square bases.
