Former Police Station, now house and shop. 1835, altered later C19.
Brick, colourwashed and roughcast. Slate roofs. 2 storeys, 3 windows.
Ground floor: shop front to centre and right with entrance, to left a sash with a gauged brick flat arched head. First floor central blind window with flanking sashes. Applied Corinthian pilasters at corners.
Double span shallow pitched roof with rendered end stacks. Interior not inspected. The building served from 1840 to 1884 as a Police Station.
This is the earliest known example of a building used as a Metropolitan Police Station to have survived.
