Former Salem Methodist Church, now Pakistani Madrassa. Dated 1863.

Ashlar. 2 tall storeys plus basement. 5-bay front, the centre 3 breaking forward slightly, under pediment. The set-back side bays are lower and each has flight of steps, with wall terminating in square pier, leading to panelled double door with cambered head.

Square headed basement windows to main facade and round-arched ground and 1st floor windows both archivolted. 1st floor windows have foliage enrichment to archivolt and pointed hood mould, and have balustrade. Very deep dentilled dornice. Tympanum is richly decorated with scrolled foliage and has central roundel with 'SALEM 1863' in raised capitals. Pediment has acroteria at edges of apex, and flanking bays have balustraded parapetand urns. 6-bay sides, only partly visible with archivolted round arched windows. 4-bay rear elevation, the centre 2 breaking forward with pediment.

Interior: Mainly altered but elliptical raking gallery survives on slender, cast-iron, plain columns. A few pine box pews survive in gallery.
