Unified composition of circa 1840. 3 storeys, stuccoed with concealed roof.

Nos 9, 10, 20 and 21 form more elaborate end sections and are of one wide bay each; the others plainer, of 2 windows.

Nos 9, 10, 20 and 21 heavily rusticated pilasters support entablature with long, scrolled brackets to cornice. Parapet above has flat pilasters with stepped finials. Plain reveals to 2nd floor windows with projecting bracketed cills.

1st floor Venetian windows have segmental centre light with triple keystone and impost blocks forming lintels of side lights. Raised stucco area above with pediment. Ground floor shop fronts, under heavy, projecting cornices, are separated by wide rusticated pilasters with reeded borders. Doors of 4 panels, the upper 2 glazed, have cornice head and rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. No 21 has shop front filled and ordinary sash inserted. All windows sashes with glazing bars, those of Nos 9 and 10 replaced. Panelled stallrisers to shop fronts. Nos 11 to 19 stucco with cornice and parapet. 3 centre houses (Nos 14-l6) project slightly. No 15 has higher parapet and bracketed cornices to 1st floor windows.

1st floor cill band. Plain reveals to sash windows with glazing bars, mostly replaced. Flat, stucco surrounds to 1st floor windows of Nos 14 to 16 and to all ground floor windows, the latter with raised, semicircular centres. Doors of one long, stoutly beaded panel in stucco surround of paired quasi-pilasters and cornice with raised semi-circular centre.

The listed buildings on the North Side of College Approach form a group with No 38 King William Walk.
