The following building shall be added: TYLDESLEY ELLIOT STREET SD 60 SE (north side) 2/69 No 151 II Bank now office premises. c1900. Probably by F W Morton for the Union Bank of Manchester. Ashlar sandstone, glazed roof. Single storey; corner site with 3-bay front to Elliot Street and 2-bay left return facing Patchett Street having lower, 4- window wing. Classical, in Doric style. Plinth with pedestals linked by continuous cornice on which are engaged columns. Central doorway has 10-panel door in eaved architrave beneath frieze with 'BANK' in raised letters; dentilled cornice under finely-carved arms of the Union Bank of Manchester. Flanking bays have later windows in rusticated surrounds with raised keystones. Entablature with triglyphs and mutules; balustraded parapet with 4 dies. Left return: channel-rustication; contemporary rain-water goods with patterned and corniced hoppers; entablature and balustrade as front. Wing to left has channel-rustication and 2-pane sashes of 3:1:1:3 lights with Art Nouveau leaded lower sashes; modillioned cornice.
Interior: remodelled with false ceiling which conceals remains of classical plasterwork and intact Art Nouveau stained-glass ceiling.
