School for colliers' children, now 2 houses. Dated 1835.

Painted brick with stone dressings, stone slate and slate roofs. One storey, 4 bays, the 4th bay recessed and lower.

Cornice, blocking course and stone slate roof to 1st 3 bays, 4th bay has slate roof. 1st and 3rd bays have sashed windows with single glazing bars and lintels with label moulds. 2nd bay has window with small-paned casement, dated lintel and label mould over entrance with label mould and studded door. 4th bay has sashed window, no glazing bars and entrance with label mould; right return has pointed window with Y-tracery casement. Left return lateral stack; stack to rear of ridge of 4th bay.
