4430 (North-West Side) CARSHALTON Pump and Trough TQ 2764 SE 20/156 II 2.

C19 cast-iron pump bearing inscription "J Tyler and Sons Newgate Street London EC". Circular shaft with bands of necking, pump cylinder with handle, foliated spout and founder's inscription; cap missing. Pump stands above rectangular stone trough. Pump apparently moved to present site before 1850 from opposite side of road; in use until early C20.
