A statue of Queen Victoria in the Market Place, donated by Mr E.J. Trendell, a former mayor of Abingdon, to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 1887. The statue was also the focus of the town celebrations for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 1897.
