General view of the Royal Alhambra Theatre showing the entrance front. It opened in 1854 as the Panopticon of Science and Art. In 1858 it was converted to the Alhambra Palace by Edward Tyrrell Smith and in 1836 it was replaced by the Odeon cinema.
