Lamb Bridge, Lambton Park, North Lodge / Bournmoor - County Durham (UA)
Ashlar sandstone bridge over the River Wear. Built in 1819 by Ignatius Bonomi for John Lambton, first Earl of Durham. The bridge has structural distortions that are causing concern about its stability. Some works have been undertaken, including on-going structural monitoring. A substantive repair programme has yet to be undertaken but options are now being explored to help secure the long-term future of the various historic buildings and structures on the estate.
