Augill Lead Mine Smelting Mill, Stainmore - Westmorland and Furness Council (UA)

C19 lead smelting building containing the remains of furnaces. Roof removed in mid-C20. Emergency repairs were carried out to the lintel over the door in 2005. Proposals to remove trees and undergrowth from around the monument are under discussion but no solution to the structural problems has yet been agreed.
