Apethorn Farmhouse, Apethorn Lane - Tameside

Cruck-framed farmhouse and shippon dating back to the C15, with external details from C17-C19. Part of a group of historic agricultural buildings. Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent were granted in 2017 for renovation and conversion of the farmhouse, shippon and haybarn to residential use. However the buildings continue to deteriorate as the lightweight temporary weather protection is ineffective and the structures are unstable and in varying states of collapse.
