Former public baths, Collier Street - Salford
Former baths of 1855, with Italianate design and rare laminated roof trusses. The building is fully scaffolded and wrapped, with a temporary roof. This is helping it to dry out. The building is inspected regularly, and vegetation is removed. The wall heads and areas of masonry are in very poor condition. The owners have commissioned a number of surveys to inform its restoration and reuse. Design work is ongoing on applications and it is intended that the former baths will become a feature of the wider development scheme in this area of Salford.
