Calveley Old Hall, Chapel Lane, Handley - Cheshire West and Chester (UA)

House built 1684 for Lady Mary Calverley. Remodelled in 1818 for Sir Thomas Legh of Lyme. Some C20 alterations. Major causes for concern include the roof, brickwork and external joinery. The Local Authority, Cheshire West and Chester together with Cheshire Police are co-ordinating action to ensure the security of the site. A long term solution is still required. Part of the associated grade II listed boundary walls have collapsed to the eastern front.
