Greyfriars former monastic building, Broadgate - Lincoln
The building is believed to be one of the earliest Franciscan churches in Europe and the oldest friary building in England. It was remodelled for other uses, including a school and latterly a museum. The main clay tile roof covering is in a poor condition. The Welsh slate roof of the C19 extension has been repaired. The building is currently vacant. However, City of Lincoln Council is working in partnership with Heritage Lincolnshire on a National Lottery Heritage Fund project to undertake repairs and convert to a visitor centre, venue and office.
