Former Stow Maries Airfield, Flambirds Farm, Stow Maries, Cold Norton - Maldon

Twenty-four surviving buildings of a World War I Royal Flying Corps airfield; the largest known surviving group of this kind, now owned by a Trust, who maintain a collection of flying (replica) WWI aircraft and operate the site as a museum, visitor attraction, and operational private aerodrome. Urgent repairs are in progress or have been completed to some of the buildings, mainly with grants from Historic England, but a long term plan is needed for the funding of future repairs and the use of all the buildings.
