Easton Lodge, Little Easton - Uttlesford

Edwardian gardens designed by Harold Peto c1902, incorporating a late C17/early C18 grove. The fire damaged house was demolished in 1950. Converted service buildings and infill development remain. Built structures within the garden have deteriorated. Ownership is split between private owners of houses and an investment company. Under a lease, the Gardens of Easton Lodge Preservation Trust maintains parts of the gardens, continuing incremental restoration and opening to the public in a limited manner. No Conservation Management Plan exists and there is uncertainty about the gardens' future.
