Warbrook House, Eversley - Hart

Seminal in garden history terms, the gardens and house were designed c1724 by the architect John James whose home it was, utilising the formal geometric principles he translated from Dezallier d'Argenville. Geometrical axes extend beyond the gardens but these, and the wider parkland has fragmented, and conversion to a hotel and conference centre created major local change. An aerial survey of the park undertaken by Historic England to inform a Parkland Plan and ideas for restoration of key features with land and flood management options are being discussed in partnership with Natural England.
