Church of St Andrew, Bethune Road, Stoke Newington N16 - Hackney

The church was built in 1883-4 by Sir Arthur Blomfield in the Early English style, using Kentish ragstone with Bath stone dressings. Although plain externally, the interior is richly decorated. Two phases of repairs are complete, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The nave and aisle roofs are repaired and also external masonry and windows to clerestory and west wall. A third and final phase of roofing repair is required to the transepts and chancel roofs and related masonry.
