Chapel Mill, Gwindra Road, St. Stephen-in-Brannel - Cornwall (UA)

Chapel Mill is a C19 china stone grinding mill, a rare and intact example of its kind, which still contains machinery. It has been redundant since the 1950s and since then has gradually deteriorated, becoming very overgrown. Large parts of the mill’s corrugated iron roof covering have blown off leaving the wall tops open to water penetration and the timberwork rotting and collapsing. Inside, the machinery is in deteriorating condition. Volunteers have cleared the scrub but roof repairs are beyond their capacity.
