Bellmanpark lime kilns and part of an associated tramway 180 metres north west of Bellman Farm, Clitheroe - Ribble Valley

A rare example of a bank of four late-C19 lime kilns with tramway access for railway wagons. The tunnels and arches are suffering from collapse. Clitheroe Civic Society's Lime Kilns Group cleared vegetation to enable monitoring. Historic England has funded a significance report, laser scans and a structural survey to inform consolidation of the kilns. A Historic England grant has funded soft capping of the kiln tops to reduce water ingress. The south tunnel has been partially stabilised and repointed. The grant-aided repairs were paused due to bats, and are due to complete in 2022.
