Church of St Giles, Barrow - Shropshire (UA)
St Giles is one of the most complete surviving early churches in the county and consists of a C11 nave and chancel and C12 west tower with a C18 top stage: the late C19 north side chapel replaced a C17 earlier addition and the south porch was added C18. Restored by GE Street, it has steeply pitched plain clay tile roof coverings and replacement plastic rainwater goods: significant areas of primary masonry survive intact, Repairs to roof coverings were carried out in 2022 but ineffective surface water drainage and raised ground levels continue to exacerbate damp conditions inside the church
